MAC OUTER CO. was founded by Josh Macdonald, a kid raised in the Arizona desert who always felt drawn toward the worlds Arizona didn’t offer: surf culture, mountain air, and the movement that comes from riding boards across any terrain. Growing up wishing there was more surf and snowboard style around him, Josh chased those places himself—surfing in California and Hawaii, snowboarding in Utah, skating anywhere he could find a flat stretch of concrete. Over time, he realized there wasn’t a brand that blended the ocean, the mountains, and the desert into one clean, modern identity, so he built one. MAC OUTER CO. represents people who move between worlds, who feel at home in cold chairlift mornings, warm coastal evenings, campus days, and the creative energy that lives in every season. Our products begin with real moments and are designed with intentional lines, minimalism, and a timeless look that reflects motion, exploration, and growth. As Josh prepares for his two-year LDS mission, MAC OUTER CO. stands as the foundation of that journey—a brand shaped by the places that raised him, inspired him, and continue to guide what’s next.
